Who we are

Beyond the Orphanage consists of a small but highly committed group of professionals with particularly relevant expertise in areas such as child welfare, child psychology, accounting, law, information management, HR and administration, journalism and photography providing pro-bono services. Their skills help us to develop a strong organisational structure that can grow to meet the needs of the children and ensure the highest standards of corporate governance.

We have two offices, one in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and the other in Goulburn, Australia. However our members are distributed globally and we manage the operations across time zones through simple but effective online communications systems. We are committed to keeping adminstrative costs as low as possible to ensure that the donated funds are used to deliver benefits to the children. This is greatly aided by the provision of pro-bono services by our professional volunteers.
